Stacked Imploded View
Last month I did a silkscreen for my project STACKED at Grafisch Atelier Daglicht during the Dutch Design Week. It's a 5 and 6 colour print on square 40 X 40 cm 360 gsm paper that was turned around it's center at every print run...every image is overlapping the previous one at a different spot but all centered, creating a different result for every print. Here are some versions.
TATTOO YOU
Eroded city cycle tattoo craziness on Flickr. Crazy. Most insane example of my bike drawings being copied without permission ever! But also the best compliment! Thanks. :-)
How good is that?
Category: Public space and all the wonderful ways of playing with / in it.
More good stuff here. Epos 257 it is.

HORROR VACUI @ STRP Festival
VJ Elisa of Eyesupply used my Horror Vacui drawings for her VJ visuals at STRP festival during Martyn's set last week. It was great to have an overwhelming 4D surround experience, matching visuals, sound and space. Below is the clip showing Martyn playing "Left Hander" that is out now on 3024, number 010! It was a wicked night with people like Hudson Mohawke, Shed, Monolake, Modeselektor and Floating Points.
HORROR VACUI @ STRP Festival from Jeroen Erosie on Vimeo.
The good thing of seeing my work in the VJ-mixer is that there is a link between the "formats"of the masks used to produce and mix the imagery, it's a very different ( digital) approach to my analog use and abuse of Horror Vacui images, but there are quite some odd similarities as well.

Le Royaume
Love it. The idea that this is actually a graduation project, scares the shit out of me...being a part time teacher at artschool. Brilliant stuff. More here from the Gobelins school d'image here.

BIG FAT print
For the 3 year Le MUR anniversary I did this 5-colour screenprint, 50 X 70 cm on 360 gsm paper. Send me a mail in case you're interested, it costst just a little more than the amount of colours used. Oh..ofcourse it is the small version of the big Le MUR billboard I did in Paris in 2008.
GREENPEACE vs NUON / ESSENT
Briljant in al z'n eenvoud. Dat zal ze leren! Al dat gelul over groene energie, spaarlampje erin en dan weer achterover leunen, greenwashing in full effect...maar ondertussen.
Hier "origineel" vs nog origineler;
Aan de ander kant; ok. Het zal wel een héle schone centrale worden...maar schoner dan de zon wordt het niet.

I CAME, I SAW AND I...
Stickers: Stuck-Up Piece of Crap: From Punk Rock to Contemporary Art
Good to hear mister DB Burkeman (yes DJ DB that is) finally got his book out, a book about stickers from the past 50 years. It documents the evolution of stickers from early Californian skate culture, the punk rock pioneers, early hip hop, techno/rave culture, graffiti, controversial politics to well...ofcourse contemporary street art.
Written by DB Burkeman and Monica LoCascio, Contribution by Shepard Fairey and Carlo McCormick

2562 vs A Made Up Sound
Ok, it may be not the latest of the latest ( well 30th of August is still pretty recent) but personally I think that's a good sign. With so much music to hear, I am always happy with something that lasts longer than 2 days. I love this mix. Listen to it here.

Lillian Schwartz PIXILLATION
A 1970's take on the digital future creeping in your bloodvains like a spambot gone mental. I love it. How big was Lillian Schwartz's crystal ball back in the days?

FLICKR
To go full circle virtually, I also have a Flickr-page now. It's not as much "fun" as Facebook (yawn) but since the new Google-picture search sucks hard, I think Flickr is the next best pixel-dump on the net. Unfortunately there is an upload limit of 200 pictures, but you get the idea...Check it here.
BASCHZ vs LA MELODIA
Mad visual professorBaschz goes crazy with this sleeve-design for La Melodia's 12" Electronic Love.Check out the augmented reality part below. Both originally from Eindhoven, it makes you wonder what is in the tapwater over here...great job guys!

FACES OF DEATH
Brilliant! Collaborative annual project by Milton Carter. Hilarious, witty and funny on top of that. At least you don't die for nothing being a celebrity and all...
Eric Tabuchi / Larosoire
Check out the website of photographer Eric Tabuchi. It features some nice typology projects that for some reason seem very familiar, focusing on stuff you see on a daily basis, but you never really get to categorise the way he does. It's like Bernd and Hilla Becher's pictures but in a post-modern globalised European copy-paste setting.
It reminds me just a little bit of another French photographer that I used to really like long time ago on fotolog, Larosoire. The work on his fotolog is not recent, but beautiful nonetheless, and it goes on and on.

PIXPONG - Paint Bomb
Now visible on the 16 x 24 pixel light-matrix on the "Kennedytower" in skyscraper-city Eindhoven, my animation for the Pixpong project. 16 x 24 pixels is even less than the screen on your mobile phone from 6 years ago.
The theme was "light" and reminded me of paint-bombs used to throw at office buildings that are made of lightbulbs. So the white spots are meant for the building, the black "light bombs" were meant to be against the light matrix. It plays with my mixed feelings about the city-marketing of Eindhoven "City of Light", or, well...city marketing in general.

ALPHAPHET (15)
For sure this guy is into pingpong but he also knows a thing or two about letters. After doing a FULL COLOR spraypaint alphabet in 1992, Phet 15 ( a.k.a Freaky "In Eindhoven we have a hall of fame too, but there is almost no room left") did another alphabet, this time a digital one. And it's even possible to use it, download it here. So fly!

MINDS LOCKED TOGETHER
Minds Locked Together (Trailer) from BRAINFEEDER on Vimeo.
Nice how a club-vibe is portrayed, seeing this in the morning completely messes up my work-focus! A job well done! I love those legshots...for some reason I suddenly realise how often you look at a club's floor : )
MINDS LOCKED TOGETHER – A Film By SHAUN BLOODWORTH
The Film really is a document of life in Sheffield, based around the Electronic music scene, but its also about the transformation of an empty venue , into a place to experience a specific musical event. Of course it features Performers but this is a celebration of the unsung heroes , the Promotors and paying Audience.
There’s always been an extremely vibrant and independent spirit in the City regarding music, with a culture of ‘ well if they dont cater for me i’ll start my own night ‘ – and I’ve wanted to record that for a while now.
The Title ‘Minds Locked Together ‘ is a phrase from a Venetian Snares track that i heard in Flying Lotus’s set about a year ago.
It started out as a commission from MaryAnne Hobbs, to produce visuals for her Sonar Stage set, in June this year. I hadn’t a clue what i was going to do at that time, but knew Roska had asked GiveUpArt to do a graphic visual and Flying Lotus had Strangeloop to do a multi layered animation – well i couldnt compete with those, so i decided to do something with live footage and it developed from there.
Because im essentially a stills Photographer, the film has been shot in a very similar way to a picture story with the same pace and rhythm, and its styled as close to my stills work as I could get.
It was filmed over a loose two month period , taking in venues from around the city , from organised Club Nights to Underground Raves, and I’ve re edited it together with Humanstudio and a mixed soundtrack by Sheffield producer and DJ Grievous Angel.
The full fifteen minute film can be seen at: SHAUNBLOODWORTH.COM
Camera and Editing: Shaun Bloodworth
Post Production: Humanstudio
Audio Mix: Grievous Angel

HYPERDUB vs 3024 go Japan
Martyn and Kode 9 go to Tokyo and Osaka; Exclusive Mix CD for Japan, more here (Japanese only ;-)
Happy to see our logo used on this great collaboration by Hyperdub's artwork-extraordinaire Manuel Sepulveda/Optigram. I like how he uses different "op art" patterns for various purposes, like a personal pallette, playing with repetition in an interesting way.
Wow!
Crazy clip with a wonderful track. Flying Lotus in MmmHmm, featuring Thundercat. Directed by Special Problems.
Metalheadz podcast #14 by Dj Flight
Great mix, Metalheadz podcast #14 by Dj Flight. Old, deep dirty Drum & Bass together with various new deep sounds. AND it features 3024's Altered Natives "The Bitch" as well. Sweet!
Pane TRV
Check out the work of Italian Stefano Pane Monfeli, somebody who's work is not easy to pigeonhole (?) and I for some reason feel related to for not having one "style" but shifting easily between genres and ways of working but still keeping a certain feel. Good good stuff!
Jeroen Jongeleen / OONA
A little late, but better than never; I am very happy to be the proud owner of one of 43 very well-made catalogues of the work partner in crime (and public nudity) Influenza did while being in Surinam. OONA put it together, and it is a real treat. Try to get your hands on one of these...if they are still available.
