I was invited by Lionel of Sixpack for a show in Apart, Grenoble, France:



HORROR VACUI

I wanted to do a show about my "fear of emptiness", emptiness in both form and content.
In a way it stands for a reflection on my way of working and a moment in time. Visually there is the need to fill every part with as much details/shapes as possible, but hereby having less and less focus or meaning. Almost like needing loud noise to feel quiet. On the other hand it stands for the fear of not making anything artistically that means something, the fear to be part of this overwhelming senseless world and adding even more to it. Doing exactly that never felt this good.
